Heather has spent her 20+ year career curating experiences to foster fair and healthy workplace cultures. As lead Culture / Inclusion Consultant, Heather builds client capabilities using the guiding principle. ‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.’
Prior to launching her consulting firm Heather thrived in various senior human resources and diversity and inclusion leadership roles. She was responsible for the creation, implementation and execution of inaugural diversity and inclusion programs and managed a portfolio of U.S. and Canadian energy infrastructure projects exceeding $20B. She has worked across the globe with Fortune 500 companies such as Mars, Inc. and TC Energy traversing industries including consumer goods, energy, manufacturing, education and transportation.
An interactive and engaging speaker, Heather utilizes her expertise to speak at conferences, corporate events and podcasts on a variety of topics including Leadership, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Career Development for HR Professionals and Human Resources (HR). Most recently, Heather spoke at the Global HR Summit 2024, sharing how HR can lead the way to Inclusive Work and Inclusive Leadership.
Heather is a national member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), is an executive board member at Chicago SRHM and also leads their inclusion efforts. Heather serves as a member of Hacking HR’s Expert’s Council. She has contributed thought leadership and authored articles in the CultureCon Blog, SHRM Blog and Well + Good Magazine.
Heather has been recognized for her leadership and influence. She has been selected as to the Top 100 Diverse Executive Leaders as well as Top 30 Influential Women in Houston. Heather earned a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations (MHRLR) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee; a certificate in Organizational Development & Change Management from Queens University (Ontario, Canada); and Bachelors’ Degree in Speech Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Heather is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), coach, trained mediator and facilitator. A Chicago native, Heather is a sports fan, appreciates the joy and adventure of domestic and international travel, and a lover of architecture and the art of live music.
